Abuse and Neglect Concerns

Currently, we do not have the facilities or ability to conduct humane investigations. Please call 740-393-6713 to talk to a representative of the Knox County Animal Shelter.  Our appointed Humane Agent works out of this facility. Thank you for your concern.

Past Event: KCHS-CATS Annual Yard Sale - Date: 8/12/2022

Come out  and support KCHS-CATS with our annual yard sale!  Pet supplies, carriers and miscellaneous items. 100% of the proceeds benefit the cats and kittens at the shelter. Cash or Check only please.  

Past Event: Animals Light Up Our Lives - Date: 12/4/21, Noon

Join us for our annual tree lighting ceremony - in person! Come out and help us recognize our wonderful pets, both living and past on. Pets are welcome and encouraged to attend!  Light refreshments provided. Sign up your pets ahead of time to be a part of the ceremony.

Past Event: $5 Rabies Vaccine Clinic - 5/21/22, 11am-2pm

Come out to KCHS-CATS and bring your dog(s) or cat(s) for our public service rabies vaccine clinic.  $5 Cash or Check for a 1 yr or 3 yr rabies vaccine (with a previous, non-expired rabies certificate). Help us make Mount Vernon a safer place for all of us!
