Animal Lovers Wanted --

Our volunteers are the best! Volunteering is very rewarding work. Foster, train, socialize, exercise and just plain have fun! Interested? Call The Knox County Humane Society at (740) 392-2287 for more information.

We need help in these areas--

Volunteers

    Work with the animals - Feeding, cleaning, walking, etc.
    Fostering - We need temporary homes for mothers and kittens, kittens too small for surgery, dogs and puppies waiting to go to rescues, and occasional special needs dogs that can't stay at the shelter. If you can help, please complete the foster form to provide temporary care for a homeless animal.
    Pet Visitations - Take our pets out to nursing homes and schools.
    Publicity - Help us make posters, newspaper ads, etc.
    Volunteer Recruiting - Recruit help from membership lists, enlist new members, organize membership for special events, fundraisers, and parades.
    Cat Shelter - Help with cleaning, feedings, socializing, and grooming.
    Dog Shelter - Socializing, exercising, and just plain having fun!
    Medical - Help prep for surgery, assist with recovery, administer medications.
    Office Help - General office help needed. Answer phones, greet people at the front desk, do data entry.
    Bingo - Volunteers are needed every Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.
