Giving homeless dogs the ride of their lives

Every year, our shelter receives more dogs and cats than we can possibly find homes for in our community.

That's why we're constantly looking for new and innovative strategies to reduce the number of pets coming in, while at the same time finding good homes for those we can adopt out.

Our goal is to find every adoptable pet a loving home. That's why we have partnered with the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' program.

Rescue Waggin' is a unique shelter transport program that moves adoptable dogs from shelters with high areas of pet overpopulation to shelters where adoptable dogs are more in demand.

Some shelters around the country have nearly eliminated the overpopulation problem in their communities. Until we achieve that goal, Rescue Waggin' provides our shelter with an opportunity to help our adoptable homeless dogs find loving homes.

We are proud to be a part of the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' program and pleased to provide our community with another resource that saves homeless pets' lives.
