The Knox County Humane Society's primary purpose is to provide for the welfare of cats and kittens through public awareness clinics and campaigns, humane sheltering and fostering, adoption and surrender services, rescue and transfer services, initial medical and altering services for stray, surrendered and rescued cats and kittens.  The organization places its emphasis on performing all of its goals for all cats and kittens who are healthy, are adoptable and trainable.
Abuse & Neglect Cases
Please call 740-393-6713
In April of 2012, on a single business day, the Knox County Humane Society took in 99 kittens.  To avoid this situation, the Board and Staff of the Knox County Humane Society are asking for your help. Would you be willing to sponsor spay or neuter surgeries for the month of February?  Your $45.00 surgery sponsorship will be applied to one female cat or two male cats.  The owner will be asked to pay a small fee of $10.00 to cover the remaining costs.  Every dollar will be applied to surgery costs.
