Vladimir Pussin' a.k.a. Sergei

On Wednesday June 3rd we adopted Sergei 206. We came and visited him twice to make sure he would work with us and WOW has he. I write this on Thursday June 4th and he already acts like he owns the place. We showed him the litter box once and he's used it ever since. He slept on our bed all night and never stirred or purred! He's very content but the only way you can hear him purr is to put your ear against him (which he loves!). He is the most laid back cat we have ever shared housing with. He rolls over like a dog so you can scratch his belly and doesn't bite or dig with his hind legs, amazing. We always wanted a cat that thinks it's a dog! Right now he's laying in the window sound asleep but tomorrow he gets a bath. I'm sure though, before he's completely dry, he'll be hunting for window birds and chipmunks!

We haven't had a kitty now for about 2 years. All three of ours passed away from old age at 15, 17, &18 years old. We got all three as kittens and loved them all. It was heartbreaking and we just recently decided that it was time and this new kitty is going to fill the ticket perfectly. We really liked his name (Sergei) since he has a lot of Russian Blue in him but we took a vote, and keeping with his Russian heritage, his new name is Vladimir Pussin' (Vlad for short).

We want to thank you all at Knox County Humane Society for taking such good care of all your guests. It's wonderful that they are able to run cage-free. That makes it so much nicer to team up with a new buddy and really get a feel for their personality before you get them home. We may be back if Vlad decides that he would like his own kitty but for right now he seems happy being the mane man. Sorry for the pun (;>)~

Thanks for all your caring and hard work,
Ron & Sue Corl featuring Vladimir Pussin'
