Rescue Waggin
Spirit

Spirit, was picked up as a stray at the county dog shelter. She appeared to have an injury to her right, front leg. Dr. Greg Price (Town & Country Vet Clinic) examined her and determined that she had a dislocated shoulder. After trying to put the shoulder back into place (which did not take), it was recommended that she have surgery. Dr. Price performed the surgery and Spirit is now in a wonderful home and doing great! (See update from the owner below). We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations, and Dr. Price for helping yet another one of our furry friends!

Spirit is doing GREAT!

She and Alley are romping like crazy as I type. She is very close to using her leg, she uses it about once every five steps when we are on the walk, and the vet said she really shouldn't use it for another month, so I think she is right where she is supposed to be.

She has, however, put on 6 pounds so I think I am going to start cutting back on her food!

I brought her up to Toledo a few weeks ago, and my mom and dad loved her. She is just such a lover, so she gets all the attention.

I attached a photo of us at the park 2 weeks ago, when they took off her bandage they had to shave her fur off again, so it still hasn't grown back!

I will send you more photos during the summer when we start going to the festivals!

Hope all is well.

Jon
