Buster
On Thursday 9/25/08 I walked into the Humane Society's cat shelter to adopt a lonely heart cat. When I walked in I was completely overwhelmed at having to choose one cat out of 50 or so. For a cat lover you really just want to take them all. But I knew I couldn't.
As I spent the next hour picking up cats loving on them and some loving back I couldn't decide. Just at the time when I was ready to give up trying to figure out which one I wanted. Here comes this thick rough looking cat. Part of one ear missing, two extra toes on one paw and one extra toe on another paw. And a chipped tooth. I picked him up and to my surprise he was loving and sweet. My boyfriend said just wait a cat will pick you. I said I think I've been picked. We both looked at him and I asked how old he was. To my surprise he was 5/7 yrs old. I knew looking at him if I didn't pick him I'd regret it. So we decided to take him missing part of an ear and all the extra toes, I knew he was special!
As we were signing papers and finalizing the adoption this pretty little cat was sleeping soundly on the counter next to were we were and there goes our cat just busted him/her in the head a few times. Hence the name Buster. That's what we call him now. It was like he was warning this kitty these are my mommy and daddy.
We took Buster home. And boy does he fit in here. He's very happy and just the most loving wonderful kitty I've ever had. Buster may be 5 or even 7 years old and he's had it pretty rough you can tell by looking at him. I think he knows he gets to spend the rest of his life enjoying love, food, water, and a warm happy home.
Welcome home Buster... Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
