The Knox County Humane Society reserves euthanasia for animals who are suffering mentally or physically, terminally ill, or are considered dangerous to themselves, other animals, and/or humans.
In the unfortunate event euthanasia services are needed, please know the animals will be treated with compassion, dignity and respect by our caring staff.
**Private euthanasia is available on Mondays. You must call ahead to be sure the veterinarian is available.
Private cremations are also available.
